Abstract

The maturation of marriage age is part of the BKKBN program that seeks to increase the age of first marriage, for men and women to a minimum of 19 years. The many cases of early marriage caused by a lack of knowledge and lack of exposure to information among adolescents about the maturation of marriage age can cause adolescents to marry at an age below 19 years which will cause many impacts such as premature birth, bleeding and infection during childbirth, divorce, domestic violence, dropping out of school, and many more. The research design is a quasi-experimental with a pre-post test design with a control group. The research sample amounted to 35 people, the intervention group was given a video with a duration of 6 minutes, while the control group was not given a video. The instruments used in the study include: a knowledge questionnaire about the maturation of marriage age, educational videos and e-modules. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling. Analysis using a t test with α ≤ 0.05. The results of the analysis show that there is an effect of providing educational videos on the level of knowledge of high school adolescents about the maturation of marriage age with a p-value of 0.024. Providing educational videos can increase adolescents' knowledge about maturing marriageable age. It is hoped that relevant institutions, researchers, and academics will use educational videos as a reference in providing health education on maturing marriageable age (PUP) and as learning materials.
