The Relationship Between Multiparas and the Incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in Pregnant Women at the MILANGODAA Community Health Center, Tomini District, South Bolaang Mongondow Regency

Abstract

High maternal mortality rates can occur due to several factors, both direct and indirect. One of the indirect factors that plays a major role in 
complications in pregnant women and labor is the One of the indirect factors that plays a major role in complications in pregnant women and 
childbirth is energy deficiency.Chronic energy deficiency is a condition where a pregnant woman suffers from a lack of food intake that lasts for 
a long period of time (chronic). This study aims to determine the relationship between multiparity and the incidence of chronic energy deficiency 
in pregnant women at the UPTD Puskesmas Milangodaa Tomini District, South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research uses descriptive 
analysis using total sampling with a cross-sectional approach. This research will be conducted at UPTD Puskesmas Milangodaa Tomini District, 
South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. was conducted in June 2025. The research subjects were 36 samples were taken using total sampling.The 
data were analyzed univariately. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi square test at a significant level of α = 0.05. The 
results of the static test research using the Chi-square test and obtained a significant value of p = 0.002 < a = 0.05. There is an association 
between multiparity and the incidence of chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women at the UPTD Puskesmas Milangodaa Tomini sub-district, 
South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. It is hoped that health workers, especially midwives, can improve services and skills through counseling 
and counseling for pregnant women, especially about chronic energy deficiency. Counseling about the utilization of home yards, and counseling

pregnancy.
