Indonesia is one of the tropical countries that is prone to the incidence of diseases, one of which is malaria. The objective of this study was to ascertain the efficacy of clove stalks (Syzygium aromaticum) and periwinkle leaves (Catharanthus roseus) in eradicating Anopheles sp. mosquito larvae. The objective of experimental research is to ascertain whether the treatment of clove stalks and periwinkle leaves has an effect on the eradication of Anopheles sp. mosquito larvae. The findings of this study indicate that clove stalks and periwinkle leaves are ineffective in eradicating Anopheles sp. mosquito larvae at concentrations of 0.75, 1.25, 1.75, and 2.25. The results demonstrate that the two materials, namely the clove stalk (Syzygium aromaticum) and the periwinkle leaf (Catharantus roseus), are ineffective in eradicating the Anopheles sp mosquito larvae. The findings of this study indicate that natural ingredients may serve as an effective repellent for malaria prevention. It is recommended that health institutions consider incorporating natural ingredients into malaria treatment protocols.
