ANALYSIS OF MACHINE MAINTENANCE COSTS AT PT. MEDIA SUARA RAKYAT IN PALU CITY

Abstract

This research aims to determine the machine maintenance system at PT. Suara Rakyat Media and to find out and analyze 
the efficiency of machine maintenance policies at PT. People's Voice Media. The type of research used is quantitative 
descriptive. Data collection methods are: observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show 
that: the total cost of the preventive maintenance policy is IDR. 2,595,212.65 and the total cost of the corrective 
maintenance policy is Rp. 2,739,951.68, so the cost difference between preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance 
policies is IDR 144,739.03. From these results it can be seen that the total cost of the corrective maintenance policy is 
greater than the total cost of the preventive maintenance policy. This shows that the type of maintenance that is better 
carried out by PT. Suara Rakyat Media is a preventive maintenance policy. Based on  
efficiency calculations, the efficiency value of the preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance policies is below 
60%, which means it is very efficient.
